Bill is a corporate finance veteran with more than 25 years of experience in assisting Institutional and Government clients in Asia-Pacific to raise capital to fund major corporate transactions as well as large-scale infrastructure projects. Bill’s early career saw him based in South-East Asia where his focus was project and infrastructure finance. He also played key roles in driving significant foreign investment in to the region. Upon his return to Australia, Bill successfully established a wholesale residential mortgage management company. The last 15 years have seen Bill lead the structured property finance division of one of Australia’s leading commercial mortgage originators, which has arranged well over $10 billion dollars in funds to date. Bill brings an exceptional wealth of experience, knowledge and guidance in corporate advisory and large-scale infrastructure and project finance which has proved invaluable to both the Challis corporate advisory team and the clients they serve.

Philip Lee - Structured Finance

Philip's has had a varied career in financial markets that spans over 20 years. His experience includes working as an institutional equities dealer covering Singapore and Malaysian markets and as a convertible bond and IPO analyst covering the Taiwan and China markets. His experience has broad exposure to the technology sector. He has also written extensively about the Asia Pacific capital markets. Philip also has extensive experience in capital raising covering debt, hybrid and equity for SMEs. He also has significant property finance experience.

Sam Elderfield - Structured Finance & Advisory

With over 15 years business management experience in finance and property development, logistics and food, demonstrated capacity for identifying business opportunities, leveraging insights and analysing market dynamics to position businesses for growth Sam commenced his professional career in Brisbane with Trident Corporation, where he gained experience in business advisory and property development roles across a range of national companies and projects. Upon shifting into funds management Samuel obtained his Masters of Finance. Over the past 7 years Sam has continued his career in funds management. He has served in a broad range of commercial and financial roles gaining experience in the major European and Asian markets while delivering operational management across all facets of the company. Sam’s experience enhances the group through his understanding of acquisition opportunities, financial assessment, operational and capital management and macro-economic strategy Sam holds the following qualifications Masters of Finance from Queensland University; Bachelor of Property and Sustainable Development majoring in Urban Development & Asset and Facilities Management from Bond University; and Diploma of Financial Planning through Kaplan Professional.

James McKay - Structured Finance & Advisory

James has over 20 years banking & finance experience including international experience in investment banking, stockbroking/ funds management and business consulting. James has a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Banking & Finance), and has extensive experience in capital raising & advising on multiple asset classes. He has experience managing complex negotiations and relationships to ensure that competing discipline drivers achieve beneficial outcomes and has a passion for investment and property. James believes strongly in sharing values, purpose and success and has a passion for building strong genuine relationships.

Nina Quasebarth

Nina recently joined the Challis Capital team. After graduating with a BS in Business Marketing from San Francisco State University in 2010, Nina joined Keiretsu Forum, a global private equity group focusing on seed stage investment opportunities in the Bay Area. Nina worked directly with investors who provided early stage capital to technology, healthcare/life sciences, consumer product ventures and real estate opportunities. Nina brings 7 years of marketing expertise to the Challis Capital team and is passionate about brand, advocate marketing and communications.
